Moved to new hosting!

I don’t know if I’ll be serious about this blog in the future, but I’ve always had some ideas for it. That said, I’m actually making an announcement: I’ve moved hosting from GoDaddy to A2 Hosting. GoDaddy was not keeping up with what I wanted to do, and would have been expensive to move to an encrypted connection. I wanted to try my hand at more modern technologies such as Node.js as well.

A2 Hosting is different. Thanks to having support for Let’s Encrypt, encryption is free. Node.js should be available as a server side language. And it’s just plain cheaper overall.

I had also moved the DNS records to Hover some time ago. They are also cheaper than what GoDaddy was charging me, and it wasn’t worth it to stick with GoDaddy.

  1. Long time reader, first time commenter — so,
thought I’d drop a comment.. — and at the same time ask for a favor.

Your wordpress site is very simplistic – hope you don’t mind me asking what theme you’re using?
(and don’t mind if I steal it? :P)

I just launched my small businesses site –also built in wordpress
like yours– but the theme slows (!) the site down quite a bit.

In case you have a minute, you can find it by searching for “royal cbd” on Google (would appreciate any feedback)

Keep up the good work– and take care of yourself during the coronavirus scare!

  2. I barely do anything with this website anymore . . . and it’s been a year since the comment was made, I never even approved it until now. But for anybody who is interested: I’m using “Twenty Sixteen,” an older WordPress theme.

  3. Wow that was strange. I just wrote an very long comment but after I clicked submit my comment didn’t appear.
Grrrr… well I’m not writing all that over again. Regardless,
just wanted to say great blog!

  4. Howdy! This article could not be written much better!
Looking through this post reminds me of my previous roommate!
He constantly kept preaching about this. I am going to forward this post to him.

Fairly certain he’ll have a great read. I appreciate you for sharing!
